General

An underrated British sea predator, the pollack can produce great sport throughout most the year, particularly on summer evenings. Small ones can be prolific and easy to catch, larger specimens require a more focussed attack

Seasons

Year round, but summer and autumn are best for the larger ones.

Sessions

Pollack feed both in the day and during the night so sessions can be full day or half day, early mornings or evenings into fully dark.

Locations

Primarily the Dorset coast although South Devon can be accommodated if required/necessary.

Tackle & Lures

Pollack can be caught on hard plastics and spinners but soft plastics and spoons are more successful and consistent. Longer rods (8’-9’) in the medium light range coupled to reels with 20lb braid

Notes

Some pollack marks can be difficult to access and a reasonable level of fitness is required for those. Easier access marks are available too (specify when booking).
